What you see here is the result of (let\u2019s call it) gentle encouragement<\/em> to share some of my pictures beyond my social media bubble. <\/span><\/p>\n You might spot me climbing over rocks, face down in sand, or lying flat on a boulder \u2014 all to get the photo I saw in my mind\u2019s eye.<\/span><\/p>\n \n I don\u2019t carry heavy camera gear. In fact, about 80% of the images on this site were taken on my iPhone (currently the iPhone 15 Pro). In 2021, I was gifted a Canon SX740HS, i<\/span>t\u2019s not much bigger than my phone, but its zoom lets me capture some wildlife I\u2019d never have managed before.<\/span><\/p>\n When not taking snaps around Stonehaven I’ll be somewhere in Scotland off following some bird I’ve heard in a tree miles away.
